AMD have already showed their new CPU. It's faster than 6900K for gaming. But how's the performance of zen architecture for scientific computing?
Anyway, Intel will cut their price in 2017.

ZEN has only dual channel memory vs intel LGA 2011 four channel, so for bandwidth limited applications like CFD solvers, hi-end intel CPU will probably be faster.
