Hi guys! My company wants to purchase a workstation to perform cfd simulations and I would like to know what you think about the specifications. My doubt is around the graphic card which might be too good and I don't know if makes sense to alter it for a worse one and improve other characteristic of the setup.

At the very least, the memory configuration needs to be changed.
The CPU has 8 memory channels. So memory needs to be changed to 8x64GB to make use of it. The graphics card is definitely overkill if all it has to do is put the image on the screen. Then again, considering the overall price of the machine, potential savings here are rather small. |
