Poisson Equ. by SOR

Dusky.He Guest Posts: n/a	I want to solve the poisson equation of pressure correction by the method of SOR, but it did not converge, the residual error is always 10-3,anyone can tell me the possible reasons? thanks

agg Guest Posts: n/a	SOR method is not very effective. Other powerful methods such as conjugate gradient and multigrid techniques offer better accuracy and faster convergence. You might want to solve the same problem with 2/3 different methods to evaluate the performance of SOR
