Defeaturing a CAD Model

I am trying to mesh a complex CAD geometry (made in Pro-E) with many small parts that are not really relevant to the analysis.
What are some common methods of defeaturing the geometry so that it is "CFD-friendly"? Is it usually easier to just recreate the geometry from scratch? |

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering if there was a more time efficient way (automated), because I have over 1000 parts in the model and deleting parts individually would be very tedious.

you could explore the global mesh controls under "Defeaturing" to apply an overall limit for pinch and defeaturing tolerances. I generally have avoided these and applied local pinch controls, but you could see what that has to offer
