When I implement the k-w SST model in my solver, the values of omega are poorly scaled. Near the wall, the values theoretically approach infinity, and in the free stream, the values are very small. This makes my residual history look terrible. It seems like this problem should occur to anyone using this model, but I've never seen it mentioned anywhere. Does anyone know how to scale the omega equation so that the values are closer in scale to the values of the other conserved quantities? Is a constant scaling possible or is variable scaling required? Thanks!
