Dear sir
I am calculating Average Nusselt Number in Fluent....

I am changing the reference value .....

what is the effect of reference value on solution?

How to set it with reference to a problem?

I am simulating 2D rectangular duct with Heat flux is given at middle of duct

inlet temp= 300 k

i am changing reference temp to some other values.....

help me.....

The reference values in Fluent do not affect the solution. They are used for the calculation of dimensionless numbers.

If I changed reference temp to get the required Nusselt Number ...is it a valid solution.
How to set reference temp for Nu no.?

The reference values are those you would take if you calculated dimensionless numbers yourself.
You would not take 5m as a reference length to calculate the Reynolds number if the characteristic length of your flow setup was 1m.

I know nothing about your heat transfer setup, but I guess the correct reference value for the temperature is the free stream temperature at the inlet.

Or, since you obviously want to compare the results to another source, you should take the same temperature as in the reference work you are comparing to.
