Retrieve data from scanned image

Hello:
I have a problem I guess most of them have experienced. Given a plotted image from an article/paper, how can i retrieve the data points for comparison? Is there any tool available for this purpose or whats the usual trick that people use to get data from papers?? Thanks CFDtoy |

Yes, there is a program called Plot Digitizer. It is free to download and install.

I also use Engauge. It's quite easy to use.
