Hello
The hyperbolicity of unsteady inviscid gas dynamic equations gives rise to the existence of a similarity transformation T. Does this also apply to the viscous Navier-Stokes equations? If so, can I apply flux-splitting methods used to solve Euler equations to Navier-Stokes equations as well? Shuo |

The same flux splitting methods are used to solved the NS equations. The viscous terms are treated (typically) using a central difference approach (or something analogous in FVM).
