Default Need your help in transient flow
Posts: n/a
Hi all,

Im running a transient VOF analysis (air/water) pipe flow and somehow cant stop doubting my results. The main thing Im not sure about is the global residuals that were discussed quite often in this forum. The thing is -in my case- in the first few time steps they change their orders to something below max. residual tolerance 10e-3, but in further computation I get some "peaks" up to 10e-2. Any suggestions on how to deal with that? Does that mean a completely "wrong" solution? Im using standard k-epsilon, SIMPLE, AMG ,UPWIND, standard relax. factors. Time step = 0.0005 courant (close to) one. Any suggestions for me to get calm? Any experience in multiphase pipe flow?

Thanks in advance,
