Hi, I am reading the original article about the realizable k-epsilon turbulence model
T.-H. Shih, W. W. Liou, A. Shabbir, Z. Yang, and J. Zhu. "A New Eddy-Viscosity Model for High Reynolds Number Turbulent Flows - Model Development and Validation". Computers Fluids. 24(3). 227–238. 1995. Link: http://ntrs.nasa.gov/search.jsp?R=19950005029 The (28) equation in this paper which estimates the value of Prandtl number of rate of dissipation. What confuses me that is it an empirical value from the experiment or it can be analyzed from the equation by the log-law? If it is the latter one, can you give a few detailed steps? Thanks in advance. |
