hello everyone!

Is there Spalart-Allmaras model in cylindrical coordinate system?

The main program of CFD is in cylindrical coordinate system. So I want to look for the final form of Spalart-Allmaras model in cylindrical coordinate system.

Anyone who can help me, I will so thanks for u!!

Hi,

Search for Dingxi Wangs thesis on adjoint formulation for turbomachinery. Hi Ph.D. was from Durham Univerity(UK). You can get it online. The thesis has SA turbulence model in Cylindrical Coordinates

The link is

Another question.

Do u know the S-A model in rotary surface coordinates?

thx very much!

Hi

Do you mean to say quasi-3d stream surface of revolution coordinates. In that case k-omega is available in open domain. I have not tried for SA turbulence model.

It is not quasi-3d stream surface of revolution coordinates you said. What I mean is the theory that divide the flow in impeller machinery into two kinds of 2D flow put forward by Zhonghua Wu(NACA TN-2604). This theory simplifies the design of turbomachine. And S1 and S2 are the two kinds flow--each has its own equation. What I need to do is to converse the S-A model from rectangular coordinate system to S1 rotary surface coordinates.
