Hi everyone,

I am trying to avoid solving a multiphase problem making use of porous media concept in FLUENT. Anyway I would like to make comparisson between these two models.

I have 3 volumes connected between them. The one in the middle is filled with solid particles, and two different fluids are going to pass through it.

The concentration of solid particles inside the central volume is 55%.

Does this mean that my porosity is 1-0.55? How can I obtain my porosity from this data?

And also, if I go for a Euler granular model, with packed bed option enabled, which value should I set for packing limit in the granular phase? Should it be 0.55? Or the default FLUENT value should work?

It will be great to have some opinions about this!

Thanks
