Hello Everyone
I've been working on a simulation of a loop seal valve in a Circulating Fluidized Bed. The main problem I've been having is that somehow the sand inside the recycling chamber is falling through the air distribution plate, even though there is an air flow through there. This simulation is based on an real CFB in my university, ant in the real loop seal there is a grid, like a filter, that prevents direct contact between the sand and the air distributor. I've tried using the porous zone function in the fluent, but somehow sand is still falling through. One thing that should be worth mentioning is that my geometry and mesh is only related to the space occupied by the fluid, not including the solid parts of the valve, does that makes any difference? |
