HEY,
I am working on EVAPORATION OF LIQUID DROPLET. I have developed a model using the stream function-vorticity method where the differential equations are discretized using the Power Law method as mention in Patankar book. However, I am facing little difficulties in handling source term as it has COT(theta) term. Does anyone have a CFD code/model on Spherical Coordinate for SIMPLE/SIMPLER method which is written in FORTRAN programming language for solving complete Navier Stokes Equation? Can anyone help me in discretizing Navier Strokes equation by Power Law method for Spherical Coordinate? It will be very helpful. Thanks. Numan Siddique Mazumder email: siddiquesil@gmail.com |

Hi,
Can anyone please let me know the correct procedure to find the order of accuracy of WENO-5 scheme, if the exact solution is present? The way I was trying to obtain the order of accuracy is as follows: 1.First I have calculated the L-1 error as: L-1 error = abs(x(num)-x(exa))* dx* dy dx =dy= mesh size = Length of the domain/No of grids 2. Then I took the log values of dx and L-1 errors and calculated the slope of the curve. Is it the right way of finding the order of accuracy? |
