Hey all,

After researching for some days, I haven't been able to answer if the Wilcox k-ω turbulence model uses Enhanced Wall Treatment (EWT) in CFX as it does so in Fluent.

I know its advantages over the k-ε model but I don't know whether it uses this EWT in CFX also.

I hope someone could help me out in this.

Thank you in advance for any answer.

Take a look at this page: https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Ans.../i1346068.html

I had already read that page but it really doesn't tell you if EWT that is used in Fluent is also used in CFX... Or maybe it has a different name in CFX?

What I want to know is if this "automatic wall treatment" in CFX does the exact same thing in CFX as the EWT does in Fluent: does the same changes from log-law wall treatment to Low-Reynolds number implementation the same way that FLuent does with its "EWT"?

I just want to know if this "Automatic wall treatment" in CFX is just the way CFX named the procedure that Fluent named "EWT"...

I want to know if they're equivalents, so to speak.

I think in this case you have to check CFX Solver theory guide : https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Ans.../cfx_thry.html
and this: https://www.researchgate.net/figure/...tbl1_273020706
