some demos first:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Twm_mdpyCug https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKl11RdsuOU and the github repo: https://github.com/mianzhi/fosolvers The new solver 'fopbc' solves transient compressible NS on 3-D unstructured grid. The pressure and momentum equations are solved together, a.k.a.: "pressure-based coupled". And the energy equation is solved in a segregated way with outer iterations. The implementation leverages proven non-liner solver (libsundials) to deal with as much non-linearity as possible. So that it is Jacobian-free and maintains the familiar look of the original governing equations. The code is mostly written in free-format Fortran with very restrained use of OO features. I tried very hard to keep the code as simple as possible. Over the years, I have been working on this hobby project. Recently it finally starts to show some decent progress. I am not an expert on many of the CFD topics. And you will find the code weak in many aspects. It would be appreciated if you can share some of your knowledge and insights through "issue" or "PR". Thank you for your time and interest. Best regards, Mianzhi |
