Hello,

I am using ICEM CFD to mesh a single blade impeller of centrifugal pump. I managed to get a blocking for this pump. Now, I am trying to utilize the same blocking in my another geometry. Am I missing something? I am getting ' this (see screenshot) ' when I import the blocking into the new geometry. Thanking you.

assess what "this" really is. How would you expect the blocking to be? How is the actual result different? Compare with the origin of the imported blocking. Inspect the dimensions of your geometries and their orientations - are these the same?

Hint: you likely need to rotate and scale the blocking to your new geometry, then reassociate.
Ideally, you would also use the ansys meshing subforum for questions regarding ICEM.

Best regards,
Sebastian

Thank you for the reply. I am sorry. I should have been more explicit. By 'this' I mean to say that the blocking that I imported is not aligned with the geometry. Now, the geometry has a different size than the blocking. In that case, what would be the logical way to scale the blocking? Is it scaled according to the geometry scaling? Thanking you in advance.

To be honest, i thought way to long about how to answer this question nicely...

Start by opening the user's manual and search for "scale block". Then learn about the respective feature, and play with it until you understand it.
I also suggest you to play with rotating blocks.
After that the solution will become obvious to you.

Of course this answer is without warranty of being the logical way
