Hello,
I am currently writing a code on Matlab that solves the compressible Reynolds equation (lubrication problem) using the Finite Volume Method. I am thinking of switching to a software. I need a software that offers flexibility in manipulating the underlying governing equation (compressible Reynolds equation). I have little experience with developing cfd codes and I would be grateful if someone could suggest a software that could do the job. Is OpenFoam suitable for such a problem ? |

OpenFOAM doesn't do 2D. It would take quite a bit of effort to hack OF in a way that it would be able to solve the Reynolds equation.
