Solving 2D flows in CFX requires extruding the mesh to provide thickness such that the 3D CFX solver may be used.
The modelling guide recommends the user “make the mesh only 1 element thick. More elements will slow computational time and require more memory.

My question is whether this single element thickness will have any effect on the spatial discretization and its order.
