I would try and see if i understand enough to get it in Wildkatze as an option to the users. So I hope i have understood by first reading but things could be different when actually implemented.

(interestingly at the core is the method that i have been using for gradients in Wildkatze for 3 years now. That is calculating the gradients at the face).
