I read a lot about this for other specializations, so want to get an idea for the CFD/Heat Transfer sub field. If possible could you please tailor the answers to this format?
1. How many peer reviewed journal/conference papers published? How many submitted? How many in-prep manuscripts? How many first author? How many as co-author? (all at the time of PhD graduation) 2. Did you get a tenure track position right after PhD? If you went for a post-doc instead, how many post-doc offers did you receive? 3. Later if you received a tenure track position, how many publications did you have at that point, and if this was after a post-doc stint, how many years of post-doc did you do? (If possible you could also mention the type of university you got your position in (Research based, top ranked, teaching based). 4. What year did you graduate with your PhD.? Thanks in advance, this will be very helpful for new graduate students, and new PhDs to have an idea of where they stand. |
