Hi,
I am asking a question regarding the turbulence models used for wave modeling and wave breaking cfd (VOF) simulations. Why do majority of the research work in coastal and ocean engineering CFD use the k-epsilon model for wave breaking and wave modeling? Isn't k-omega SST a more robust model for wall turbulence and capturing effects close to the wall? Has anyone tried using the k-w SST model and if so, were there any problems using them? Thanks in advance. |
