I would like to run cfd simulations for wing of a model aircraft for reynols numbers between 30k and 70k using transition sst model.

If anybody tried to run it for similar reynolds number? What are results in comparison with experimental data?

I know that at such reynolds numbers turbulence models, and even LES, give terrible results, especially for Cd and it is better to use XFOIL for airfoil analysys. However, I need to trace 3d effects at wingtips, which both XFOIL and XFLR are unable to account for.

I found several related papers at internet, but they deal with Re of the order of 10^5-10^6
