Hello Everyone,
I would like to calculate mass flow rate of feed inside the reactor based on the data given for Xu and Froment Kinetics. Given data, Pressure=10bar Temp=673K H2/CO2=1 W=weight of catalyst=0.4gm Reactor dia=1.07cm Reactor length=10cm I am trying to plot, Figure 4 and Figure 5 from the paper "Methane Steam Reforming, Methanation and Water-Gas Shift: 1. Intrinsic Kinetics". In this figure author plotted the graph for certain temp where x-axis denotes (W/F_CO2) and y-axis denotes conversion. In plot x-axis varied from 0-0.5, I tried assuming (W/F_CO2=0.1) and then calculated F_CO2=4 mol/hr and then F_H2=4 mol/hr because H2/CO2=1, then F_total=F_CO2+F_H2, from this molar flow rate I used mixture molar mass to calculate mass flow rate of feed. My graph pattern is correct but values which I am getting is different and I think I am doing some calculation mistake in mass flow rate because code is correct. Can anyone help me with this problem. Thanks in advance. |
