Hey fellow CFDians,
currently, I need to do a simulation of a U-Loop reactor at university but I came across some problems. As of now, I already was able to generate a useful mesh out of my 3d SolidWorks part. I have also defined the various phases (phase1 water, phase2 air) and the inlet, outlet and walls. Geometry: Mesh: Settings: It doesn't matter how I alter the velocity at the inlet, I am just not able to create a proper circulation flow that should look something like this: This leads me to the following questions: - How can a (clockwise) circulating flow be realized? - How can the water filling level be defined? - How can the aeration rate of the reactor be defined? - How can a static mixer be integrated into the system? I hope there is someone able to help me, I would be very thankful. |

What is driving your flow? Air bubbles?
Where is the inlet for air? Where is the oulet? Do you have gravity on? |
