dim14 is on a distinguished road
hello,
I'm studying the water flow around a cylinder (diameter 4 cm) located at the center o f a square basin (0.4m high 0.5m width 4 m length)and inlet velocity along x is 1.6 m/s.
I'm wondering about the right way to set up turbulence boundary inlet condition.

indeed there are different choices :01_simple_junction.png
  • hydraulic diamenter ( I understand this one : i have to calculate the ratio between the surface and the wetted perimeter)

  • turbulent intensity, (i have to indicate the intensity and the hydraulic diameter)
  • formula (i have to write a formula ?)
In my case wich one i should choose, how to set up the two last one, how are they used to define the turbulents boundaries values?
thanks
