Hello,

I'm working in a power electronics sector and i need help to choose the right CFD software.

That i need is a CFD software to calculate temperature from PCB with small components to full system level.

- For PCB simulation: I need to simulate detailled PCB with tracks joule heating and detailed/network assembly/2R components

- For system level: I have several case application like integrated motor drive or power electronics cooling with heatsink and fan (centrifugal or axial) or cold plate (water cooling). About fans most of the time i simulate with simplified model with P/Q curve but sometimes i need to modelise the fans correctly with rotating meshing.

I'm not an CFD expert. I use Flotherm for several years and i have some experiences with Ansys Fluent. Flotherm is great and really fast but he has limits specially when the geometrie is complex.

So for you which software between ansys Icepack and FloEFD is the best for electronics cooling? Do you have any feedback?

Thank you
Best regards
