Velocity and turbulence measurements for a pipe

Dear All,
I am new to CFD so I thought I would start with a relatively simple case - a straight pipe flowing full of water with turbulent flow. I have managed to obtain a solution, but I want to know if it is correct. I have compared the velocity profile through the cross section with the one seventh power law and it gives a good result. Is there any checks for turbulence, or further ones for velocity that anyone would recommend? Thanks in advance, John |
