could you suggest to solve this flow in

rectangular conduit

and to write a program in c using Finite volume method.

here the outline of the problem.

velocity=15m/s -----> viscosity=1cp

length=2m width=.5m using 2d navier stokes quation

Dear Rambabu, what type of help you want. I can assist you while writing the code in FORTRAN using FDM if you want.

I am rambabu,

just i want the algorithem for that problem to write a programe in either C or C++. The thing is right now i am familiar with only Turbo c and Turbo c++. i dont know Fotran and all i want my problem to be solved in c or c++.

hi have u read the book "cfd" by versteig and Malalsekhara.if not go through it. u'll get the method. u can also contact me for any help. bye senthil

you can discritize your NS equations and march the solution through the whole flow domain, use the cfl condition to get a suitable time step
