hi, dear all:

could anyone give me some basic info about CFD algorithm. What I want to learn is the outline and description for different CFD algorithm, such as MAC, SMAC, ICE, ICED-ALE...

Thanks a lot!

Hello, MAC - "Marker and Cell" Method, first developped in CFD bprobpably by Harlow and Welch in ~1965, SMAC - "Simplified Marker and Cell" Method, developped after MAC At start try to learn something about pressure correction methods for incompressible Navier-Stokes equations (like about SIMPLE Method) Generally SIMPLE Method can be used in MAC approach to solving free surface flows. In original MAC Method simple iterative procedure for solving pressure poisson equation was used... Better take any book into your hand Or try to download my SIMPLE paper where algorithm is fully described (available at my home page).
