Hi all,
I am meshing an aircraft in ANSYS v.12 and I'm not sure if I have to apply "inflation" to the mesh. Inflation in ANSYS generates a special mesh around the boundaries to "catch" the boundary layer in a good way. My problem is that I've only seen inflation for CFD analysis in flow in pipes or around small objects, but I haven`t see inflation around a car or an aircraft. Right now I have to simulate the flow over an aircraft and I don't know if it is necessary to apply inflation or if just having a good mesh around the object is ok. I'll be gratefull if someone can help me. |
