NACA 0012 Experimental Data

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for experimental pressure coefficient data for the NACA 0012 airfoil to validate simulations that I've run. The Reynolds number is 1e7. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding where I can find such data? Thanks |

Have not seen experimental data of 0012 at the high Reynolds number you quote. However, if you are interested in slightly lower Reynolds numbers, you can find references on the following page:

I was able to find suitable data at the link provided. I was also wondering if anyone knew where you could find pressure data for the NACA 0025 airfoil. Everything that I've found so far online mainly is related to lift and drag coefficients.

I have written a SIMPLe algorithm flow solver and I should validate my solver for airfoil. My question is that, is there any experimental data for airfoil to validate an incompressible laminar flow solver?

Hey guys,

Good luck. There are several conflicting data sets available for this airfoil. You are better off choosing a different profile for validation.

have you tried looking for NACA reports on the NASA technical reports server or looking through the data included in the freely available book Theory of Wing Sections?
But be warned... data for the NACA 0012 is not always self-consistent. |
