Hi everyone, i'm new here and i hope you can help me with my problem and i hope learn a lot to help others too.

I want to simulate a discontinous reactor that contains Ethanol, i want to study the cooler process it is carried out by a cold water flow in a coil at 275k and the ethanol is at 333k i want to cool the ethanol until it reach 303k, I want to know the time , and the heat transfer. I tried it on solidworks flow simulation but I dont know how to stop de simulation when the ethanol reach 303k it continues calculate unltil it reach 278k, what can i do? thx.

Some CFD packages allow to specify a boundary condition with a conditional expression in function of time. Not sure whether Solidworks flow simulation can do that. Open source solvers can of course do it if you have the needed programming experience. But also some commercial packages allow to customize the boundary condition either with or without the need for programming. So it depends which software you have an access to.
