Hi Good People,

Is there any way to assign different number of nodes in parallel edges in ICEM? For instance: I want to assign different number of nodes on the edges of suction (i.e., 150) and pressure (i.e., 100) sides of an airfoil. I have tried using:

Blocking -> Pre-mesh Params -> Copy Parameters -> To selected edges.

But it doesn't work! I don't know what I am missing. Is there any other way to do it ICEM?

Your kind help will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Can you draw a sketch of such a block and ... see why that does not work?

What you can do is create a degenerate/collapsed block. Add an additional block line and collapse it on the pressure side of the airfoil. The collapsing is shown here on page 204: https://fernandobatista.net/educatio...DF/itut110.pdf

Thanks for your reply and suggestion. I will check it out and try. Here I have attached two views of my current existing blocks. It has simply five blocks as seen in the images. Your further suggestions based on my existing blocks in this regard might be very helpful for me.

I'm not sure if this still useful or not, but in order to make a different number of nodes with a block that was created initially with parallel edges, you need to use permanently delete block on the airfoil. Because deleting blocks without checking the option permanently delete it, it would just go to VORVN.
