Hello everyone,

I would like to know how do we solve Displacement gradient using Traction boundary condition?? Since we're converting the traction force into displacement (computing variable) on the boundary.

(∇u)_f ·n={T−[μ(∇u_f)T+λItr(∇u_f)−(μ+λ)∇u_f]·n}/ (2μ+λ) ..(1)

1) Which scheme and what equations do we use to compute the face value of the Displacement at the boundary?

2) Do we treat all the terms on RHS explicitly?
3) If treated explicitly do we solve the solve the above equation followed by the Momentum equation as a corrector step or do we solve before solving the momentum equation as predictor step?

Could anyone help me in understating this boundary value problem?

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,
Theja
