Hi

I am currently working on Openfoam 2.3.

I came across that, swak4foam cannot be installed correctly on latest version of Openfoam.

So i have download older verion (2.1) of Openfoam, based on my ubuntu version.

Can any one please give me guideline or steps for installing SWAK4FOAM successfully in Ubuntu........it is urgent.

Looking forward for the reply.

Thanks
bharath

I was able to use swak4Foam from the development branch with OpenFOAM 2.3 following the installation instructions from here:
http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Co...am#Development
(branch port_2.0.x)

I'll refrain from using f but you can RTM: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Co...4Foam#Building

There's also a link there for additional installation help if needed.

Dear Chris Sideroff and Joachim Herb

Thank you for the timely reply.

I will check and then get back to you.

And also i would like to know from you are there any other utility in OPENFOAM for swak4foam as i am interested to capture different contour at interface region

With regards,
Bharath

It might not be extremely easy to find these instructions, but the steps for installing swak4Foam on Ubuntu have been available since the 22nd of March 2014: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/In...ling_On/Ubuntu

I'm sorry, but I have to ask you to please rephrase your question. Because I can't understand if you're looking for a tool for colouring the interface between two phases or if you're looking for a solver to simulate something...

Best regards,
Bruno

Dear Bruno Santos

I am interested to calculate in OPENFOAM the values at internal patch, i.e., like in FLUENT at interface region.

With warm regards,
Bharath

Don't shout (writing everything bold is considered shouting). It is rude.

An example for what you want to achieve is found at http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Co...e_calcMassFlow
The main problem is making these faceSets/zones. This depends on the way you create your mesh, but for instance the fluentMeshToFoam-converters can do this for you (if you're using a Fluent-mesh)
