Hello dear Foamers and Ubuntu-Users,
I was trying to install both of versions of OF (2.3.0 and 1.6-ext). I had to add this lines to bashrc to change the OF-environment: alias of230='source /opt/openfoam230/etc/bashrc' alias of16ext='source /opt/OpenFOAM-1.6-ext/etc/bashrc' Now, if I type "of230", OF2.3.0 is loaded; but if I type "of16ext", I get error "command not found". Why is that so? The path source /opt/OpenFOAM-1.6-ext/etc/bashrc is correct I would be very grateful if someone can help me, Olivia |

Problem is already solved; it was impossible to load version 1.6-ext because of some errors during the installation in the directory /opt/.
I've installed the software again; this time in the /home/ directory and now it works |

Greetings Olivia,
The problem was likely that you didn't modify the variable "foamInstall" in the file "/opt/OpenFOAM-1.6-ext/etc/bashrc". Best regards, Bruno
