I realise that this comment is rather late - but did you compare the results for some of the macro parameters as well? For example, it would be really interesting to compare the total pressure loss around the bend from the different CFD runs with the experimental value (or an estimate of the experimental value, from e.g. Miller, if the experimenters did not measure that).
