Hello,

I'm trying to simulate an internal combustion engine following the kivaTest tutorial.
I qould like to import my own combustion chamber geometry, so I've made a 3D model, then a .msh mesh file with Ansys and I converted this to foam format with fluent3DMeshToFoam.
The mesh is ok (I've checked it with checkMesh).

When the simulation starts I get an error "cannot find piston patch..."

So I checked the boundary file (in the polyMesh directory) and in that file the piston, liner and cylinderHead definitions. The only thing in that file is:

wall-part_1
{
type wall;
inGroups 1(wall);
nFaces 188;
startFace 563;
}

How do I add the piston, liner and cylinderhead faces?

Thank you
