Hello, I am working on a simplified model of a bluff body, it was designed using CatiaV5 and was then converted to an STL file using Salome 9.8.0. After running blockMesh and surfaceFeatures, I have a problem with the snappyHexMesh.
See the attached picture for the current result; the add layer function is not working well on the front face. I suspect that it might be related to the snapping part which give a far from smooth front face. I have tried to modify every parameter of the snappyHexMeshDict, improving the stl resolution, changing refinement levels and I still can't solve the issue. I would appreciate any kind of help or advice, I need to improve the quality of this mesh. PS: also find attached my snappyHexMeshDict wish gave me the best final mesh, although it still has a lot of room for improvement. |
