[snappyHexMesh] nonAlignedEdges in snappyHexMesh

Hello,

after meshing with SHM and check with checkMesh tool, there is one failure concerning nonALignedEdges.

The message after checkMesh is:

Number of edges not aligned with or perpendicular to non-empty directions: 241888
<<Writing 216975 points on non-aligned edges to set nonAlignedEdges.

Did somebody know how to fix the problem?

Just stumbled over your question, which is still unanswered. I guess after one year you found a solution. However, as I had the same question there might be others as well, so ...

As I understood from https://sites.google.com/site/snappywiki/snappyhexmesh/cylinder-case,

one can ignore this problem. I used such a mesh and OpenFoam did not complain.
