Hi,

I would like to know if it is somehow possible to multiplikate my entire field with a certain value, like 2.5.

Is this possible directly in paraview? I want to multiplicate my pressure Field with 2.5. So I type in the calulate p*1.2 but nothing happens.

Best regards,
Friendly

The complete steps should be:

1) select your input source
2) apply the calculator filter
3) set the result array name for the calculator
4) set the calculator equation to p*2.5
5) press Apply for the filter
6) ensure your representation in the dropdown matches your new calculator name, and that the visible data in your Pipeline Browser is correct

You've done all of these things and still have an incorrect result? Note that if you're auto-scaling your legend the color representation may not change in your RenderView, but the legend range may update automatically.

Hi,

thanks for your advice!

I think I have done it exactly like you said, but nothing changed.

The array name was "result" in my case. Should I have changed it to p? Maybe this was my mistake, but I can only check it on monday.

You can give the calculator result any name you like. "Result" is the default. My only point was to ensure that you were looking at the correct field in your render view.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello,

sry for my late response. I could only test it today due to other things I had to do.

It works well now. I dont know what I did wrong to be honest, but I have no troubles now.

Thank you very much!
