HEllo all
I have outpu files generated froma multiregion solver (similar tochtmultiregionFoam).
To do the postporcessing I did foamToTecplot360. The files are converted. It generates.
1.flat_plate_grid_0.plt (grid file)
2.flat_plate_*.plt (data file).
3.boundaryMesh folder with .plt files
4.facezoneMesh folder with .plt files.

I loaded the file 1 (grid file) and switched the multiple file load option and loaded all the other files together.
It generates the mesh. But gives an error message " the solution file "filename of the last time step" must have same nmber of zones as the grid.file. I tried it with different final timestep but gives the same error.
Thus no output files are loaded in tecplot.

Note:
Even the openfoam loadedr with controldict has this issue. It loads all the files, with no error. But the variables in out put isnt available with contour or vector plots (But the probe option gives the value of the output variables0. I can understand both thesse issue.

((In paraview the files when converted using foamToVTK (by converting solid and fluid zones separately and using groupdataset options) gives the output I want)).

Could anyone suggest me a solution to overcome the issue in tecplot

Dear manuc,

which version of OpenFoam and tecplot are u talking about?

for me the problem was only present when I read binary results from OpenFoam with tecplot loader.

with ascii results from OpenFoam I was having no problem.

Regards,
