Skin Friction Coefficient plot over the suction side of an airfoil

Hello everyone,

i'm simulating a flow over a Naca-6 series airfoil and i need to plot the skin friction coefficient (Cf) at a certain timestep over the suction side of my airfoil, once having the datas for the wallShearStress obtained through the nameofthesolver -postProcess -func tool, but i'm having troubles with that.

Is there a way to do it with Paraview or a script that takes into account the change of normals along the ss of the airfoil?

Any help would be kindly accepted.

Hi Mario,

You can use the Generate Surface Normals filter to get the normals of the surface and than use a calculator to get the dot product (v1.v2 button) of the Normal vector and the wallShearStress vector.
