Hi everyone;

I would like to use OpenFOAM to analyze machinery pieces, but in several cases it is important to know the principal stresses, apart from von Mises, because some times it's difficult to know if the stresses are due to tension or compression. I don't know how to obtain the principal stresses using elasticSolidFoam or any other solver. Can anyone help me with that?.

I use ParaView to postprocessing.

Regards,

Pablo.

That would be interesting to know.

Hope you find your answer, and share your findings with the community.
