Post Processing Lambda2 & Q criterion

Looking for the best way to output .vtk files for lambda2 and/or q-criterion vorticies. I would like vtk files as this could be fit into my python script for pvbatch. I am currently using v1912 and v6 of OpenFOAM. If someone could lead me in the right direction, that would be very helpful.

There are lots of guidance missing in OpenFOAM unfortunately, but you can fill the dots in a reasonable time by using the resources from the community that I do share by the links below.

Okay, still on this topic but a little more detailed. I looked through the documentation and didn't see an answer to this.
I use what I call surface_isosurfs to output my q-criterion iso surface. The surface looks to be cell-based (blocky as it matches the mesh) instead of point-based (more smooth). Is there a better way to do this? |
