Hello,
I am solving a multiphase problem (with a version of interFoam modified to solve the heat equation) in which one of the phases is quite hot, and is radiating heat into the second phase as well as to the boundaries. In addition to radiation, there is convective heat loss to the second phase. For radiation, I am using the fvDOM model, which qualitatively appears to be working as expected.
However, I want to quantify the actual radiation loss of the hot phase to the cold phase. As a start, I tried to use ParaView to plot an isosurface of the phase fraction at 0.5, and then visualize the radiant intensity G on this surface, but I am not sure if it is possible to somehow integrate G over this surface to get a figure for radiation loss. Or, if there is another (better) way to find the amount of energy radiated from one phase into another.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Kellis
