I'm working on a turbulent RANS steady simulation of an internal biological flow (I'm sorry i don't think I'm allowed to give more details than this). In order to identify some of the simulation problems I would like to visualize in paraFoam the initial residual value of each cell (especially for the turbulent quantities k and omega). I'm working with OF 10 and it doesn't seem to have a function object capable of doing that (and neither does of11 from what I understand), looking on the forum some user have mentioned the availability of the solverInfo function object in the ESI-OF version but looking at the source code of v2312 I can't seem to find it any more. Do you have any suggestion on how to visualize this quantity or can you direct me to someone who already wrote their own function object?

This is indeed available in the ESI-OpenCFD branch using the solverInfo function object. You need to activate the writeResidualFields flag to write residuals as fields.
