Hello i am trying to post-process the data from icoFoam/cavity in Fluent. When I run the foamMeshToFLuent script it generates a cavity.msh file but Fluent doesn't read it. it gives the following error message:

Reading :"/home/li077/Gambit/cavity.msh"
Error: File has wrong dimensions(3)
Error object: #f

When I try to execute foamDataToFluent I get the following message:

Time = 0.5

--> FOAM FATAL IO ERROR : cannot open file

file: /home/li077/OpenFOAM/li077-1.3/run/tutorials/icoFoam/cavity/system/foamDataToFlu entDict at line 0.

From function regIOobject::readStream(const word&)
in file db/regIOobject/regIOobjectRead.C at line 68.

FOAM exiting

Any advice?

Shuo

The first error seems to be produced by a wrong fluent solver choice. I suspect that you start fluent:

fluent 2d

while it should be:

fluent 3d
or
fluent 3ddp
