I wanted to go through the tutorial on CircuitBoardCooling that came with OF, so I opened Paraview and with that opened the Baffle3D.stl file. In Paraview I only can see a plane (See Video I took of what I am talking about) and no 3D anything.

  • How do I enable rotation to see what this thing looks like??
  • Does OpenFOAM have a way to convert from STL to its native mesh?

I turned the quality of the video to max, and it confirmed my suspicion that your camera mode is set to 2D. If you look at the small buttons under the tab that says "layout" there's a button that says 2D. Just click on it to switch to 3D.

As for your other question, I don't know, sorry.
